ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A local boxing instructor is back in the gym after a controversial music video came to light.
Tony Marshall was suspended after some parents voiced concern over a rap video that was filmed as a tribute to him.
It was recorded after hours at the Quail Street gym in Albany. The gym is run by the city’s Department of Recreation.
Some parents were concerned that Marshall wasn’t setting a good example for the kids he works with through the city’s boxing program.
On Wednesday, the city said it had completed its investigation and has taken steps to ensure the gym follows the city’s policies on the private use of its facilities.
