WESTFORD, VT (NEWS 10) – Vermont State Police are trying to piece together the moments leading up to the fatal shooting of a firearms instructor and they’re asking for the public’s help.
They say 31-year-old Veronica Lewis has pleaded not guilty to attempted first-degree murder in the June 29 shooting.
Police are trying to piece together a timeline of events and actions of Lewis.
She is accused of setting up a firearms lesson at the home of Darryl Montague.
Police say when she arrived at the home with a hammer and then shot him in the face and abdomen.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have given her a ride or seen her board a bus new Westford or Essex.
