TROY, NY (NEWS 10) – The race is on for a new mayor in the Collar City after Patrick Madden delivered his signatures to the board of elections on Monday.
Madden received more than 1,100 signatures from residents who want him on the ballot.
“The amount of support that we are receiving is incredibly humbling,” Madden said. “I would like to thank the Troy Democratic Committee, our volunteers, and each of the Trojans who have signed my petition.
Madden is the Executive Director of the Troy Rehabilitation and Improvement Program (TRIP), as well as a member of the Rensselaer County ARC board, and the boards of several other local organizations.
Madden was born and raised in Troy and is a graduate of SUNY Albany and Albany Law School.
