ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – David Sweat has left the Capital Region.
This week marks a new chapter in the Upstate Prison Break. Captured convict, David Sweat is waking up in a maximum security prison in western New York.
He is now being held at the Five Points Correctional Facility; a maximum security prison in Seneca County.
He will be staying in a single cell and put on suicide watch following 24 hours in the infirmary for a medical evaluation.
Sweat was released from Albany Medical Center early Sunday morning, exactly one week after he was shot and captured.
