ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The New York State Department of Education is releasing instructional reports for third through eighth grade English and math assessments earlier than ever before.
The earlier release comes at the request of teachers, principals, and superintendents. Instructors say this will help them better prepare for next school year by giving them more time to plan their curriculum based on the results.
These reports have been released in years past, but not this early.
The data is meant to help teachers improve instruction by identifying student strengths and areas in need of additional support.
