Albany summer food program kicks off

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The final preparations are underway to launch one of many mobile summer food programs in the Capital Region.

A program we visited today will be feeding at risk children in four cities in our area.

The Victory Christian Church has fed at risk children for the last 18 years. The program is staffed by 14 teens and young adults who work daily to feed children throughout the summer.

The lunches are made fresh everyday then loaded into two rental vans to be delivered.
