ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Almost $700 million will be going towards nutrition programs for New Yorkers in need.
Governor Cuomo made that announcement today. The $658 million will be spread out between 92 health and wellness providers in the state, which reach nearly 500,000 people in New York every month.
The program which is for women, infants and children, (W.I.C) makes sure that families with young kids have access to resources essential for leading healthy lives.
The funds will be given out over the next five years.
