(NEWS10) – The Department of Labor is promising some big bucks to states across the country.
$138 million will be spent expanding job training programs:
- New York is set to get $7 million dollars.
- Massachusetts is set to get over $3 million.
- Vermont is set to get over $2 million.
The Department of Labor says the money will build on “sector strategies,” an industry-focused approach to development that aligns training with the needs of the local labor market.
The ultimate goal is to get workers who lost their job back in the work force.
