GREEN ISLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Last June, News10ABC introduced you to one couple very deeply in love reunited after 49 years apart. This weekend, June and Jerry tied the knot at the Church of the Good Sheperd in Green Island
Behind the scenes, the blushing bride had butterflies as her big moment approached saying, “I’m so excited, I’m nervous. I’ve looked forward to this, I’ve dreamed about it.”
June Jones has been waiting for this moment for nearly 50 years. When they were kids, June had what she calls a “heavy crush” on Jerry. She says she fell in love with him but he never noticed.
After years apart, living separate lives, and building relationships, June and Jerry found themselves in the same city again.
Groom Jerry Favata, says, “She’s a nervous wreck, she wanted everything perfect. Everything is going to be alright. It will all fall into place.”
Just like their relationship fell into place.
They were reconnected by a friend and with the help of Facebook and Skype they started chatting. The relationship became serious and now they are ready to start a new chapter of their lives together.
