Nearly $25,000 given to Jack’s Place

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Jack’s Place in Schenectady recently received a large donation check toward its goal of ensuring families of sick children have a place to stay while they are being cared for.

A nearly $25,000 check from Capital Region BOCES, made possible by a grant from Lowe’s Corporation, will go a long way towards completing the building on Rosa Road that will house eight bedrooms – each with a bathroom.

“A hospitality place that will service the unfortunate families of children and patients who will be staying at Ellis Hospital and Sunnyview Hospital,” Jack Falvo of Jack Falvo III Foundation said. “So it will be a home away from home for these unfortunate people during these patients’ recoveries.”

Jack’s Place is in honor and memory of Jack Falvo III. Families will be able to stay at Jack’s Place free of charge.
