Congressman presents POW Medal to local in Glenville

GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Congressman Paul Tonko will present a local veteran with a Prisoner of War Medal.

Francis Miner served in the army during World War II and during his time on the battlefield was taken captive as a prisoner of war in January 1945.

Nearly three months later he and five others were rescued and eventually brought home. He resides in Glenville at the Judson Meadows assisted living community.

The POW medal ceremony will take place there starting at 2 p.m.
