Schenectady, NY (NEWS10) – The AMBER ALERT issued for Ava Reed of Schenectady has been canceled.
The girl’s parents, 34-year-old Shannon Pozniakas and and 31-year-old James Reed were suspected in the abduction from Strong Street. According to Schenectady Police, on May 19, 2015 Shannon Pozniakas (mother) and James Reed (father) missed a Family Court appearance in regards to an ongoing CPS investigation, at that time the sitting judge signed a removal order allowing CPS to take custody of Ava Reed.
Police say the suspects have a history of violence and substance abuse.
