CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. (NEWS10) –The Glens Falls Police Department in cooperation with New York State Police will be kicking off their statewide “Click it or Ticket” campaign Monday.
As part of campaign authorities will be cracking down on drivers who don’t wear seat belts.
During the initiative, state and local police will be keeping an eye out, and catching drivers who fail to buckle up.
While driving, you may see message boards alongside highways to remind drivers to follow the law.
The initiative is funded by Governor Cuomo’s traffic safety committee and will be carried out through May 31st.
Though most drivers in New York State wear their seat belts the governor says there is always more work to do.
