Police train Guilderland residents how to reverse an overdose

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A lesson in preparedness tonight at the Guilderland Public Library as part of the continued efforts against heroin abuse.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Senator George Amedore Jr. and Catholic charities will host a special training session on how to administer naloxone. The drug has proved useful time and time again saving people who have overdosed on heroin.

Attendees will get a tour of the Albany County Sheriff’s Mobile Education Center at 6:30 p.m., with the training to start at 7 p.m.
