Police: Man stabbed in back twice in Waterford

WATERFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a man was stabbed in the back early Monday morning.

Police say around 1:25 a.m. Monday morning members of the Town of Waterford Police Department got a call to a home on Midway Court for a stabbing. When officers arrived they found a 28-year-old male victim who was stabbed in the back two times. His injuries were non-life threatening.

Officers say the victim was treated and transported by the Waterford Rescue Squad to a local hospital for further treatment.

Through investigation police arrested 24-year-old Jude Shevalier of 50 Beaver Street, Cooperstown. The defendant was charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

He was arraigned in the Town of Waterford Justice and sent to Saratoga County jail in lieu of $10,000.00 bail or $20,000.00 bond.
