Bolton woman strikes husband with car, charged with DWI and assault

BOLTON, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Police say a Bolton woman drove her vehicle into her garage, striking her husband.

Warren County police say they arrested 49-year-old Ellen Brandow for the incident which occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Police received a report of a man who had been intentionally struck with a vehicle on Brookside Parkway in Bolton.

Further investigation determined Brandow drove her 2002 Ford Expedition into the garage and struck her husband, knocking him to the ground and causing injuries to his ribs and arm.

Police arrested Brandow at the scene for driving while intoxicated and assault in the second degree, a class D Felony. She was held in police custody until an arraignment could be scheduled for Saturday morning.

Brandow’s husband was transported by Bolton EMS to the Glens Falls Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
