Officials: Owner of Kokopellis indicted on assault charges

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Joseph Glick the owner of Kokopellis, a shuttered Troy nightclub has been indicted on charges stemming from a January 11 shooting that allegedly took place during a party after the bar had been shut down.

The Rensselaer Co. D.A.’s Office says Glick was indicted on Assault in the first, Assault in the second and criminal possession of weapon. Glick is accused of injuring a friend who had been attending the get together.

The nightclub had been the scene of much trouble including a brawl in January of 2014 when eight police officers were injured and eight people were arrested.
