RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS 10) -The derailment of an Amtrak train may cause problems for local commuters.
An Amtrak train was on its way from Philadelphia to New York City Tuesday evening when it derailed. The derailment left a least six people dead and injured dozens more.
Due to the derailment travel in the northeast has been affected.
Capital District commenters are able to travel to New York City without a problem.
Amtrak commuters who wish to travel from New York City to Washington, D.C. will run into problems; the Amtrak line from the between the two cities is not operating.
