ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – If you’re looking to stock the fridge with some fresh produce, today is the day.
The Empire State Plaza’s Famers Market will open for the first Thursday of the season. This summer’s market will feature more than 25 farmers and other vendors.
Every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the farmers market will be at the Harriman Campus and on Wednesday and Friday, the market will be at the Empire State Plaza.
The market is a part of the state’s fresh connect program which aims to bring fresh food to communities, improve nutrition education and help create local jobs.
