ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Officials say two teens have been charged for Tuesday’s homicide on Lark Street.
Rashad Quintyne, 18, is charged with Murder in the second degree and Criminal Facilitation in the second degree. Jaushi’ir Weaver, 16, is charged with Murder in the second degree, attempted murder in the second and criminal possession of a weapon in the second.
Police say around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday Weaver and Quityne shot three males while near the intersection of Lark Street and Sheridan Avenue.
One of the victims, 26-year-old Courtney Yates, of Albany, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two victims, ages 29 and 33, were treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital.
One victim remains admitted at the hospital, the other has since been released. Their names will not be released.
Weaver and Quityne were both taken into custody shortly after the incident. A 9mm handgun was also recovered during the investigation.
Police say they are looking for a third suspect.
Both suspects have pleaded not guilty and bail has been denied. The two are due back in court on May 8th.
