FORT EDWARD, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Hands Across New York is holding a silent sit-in Wednesday afternoon demanding answers into the death of Kayleigh Mae Cassell.
In February Kayleigh was found unresponsive in her Kingsbury home and later died at the hospital. It has been more than two months and many questions still go unanswered.
The organization is determined to keep the public’s attention on the investigation into her death.
A source close to the investigation says traces of drugs were found in her blood.
Kayleigh’s mother and her mother’s boyfriend have been arrested on unrelated drug charges.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at 383 Broadway in Fort Edward.
