ALBANY, N.Y. – Police say an Albany man is in custody after a shooting at the Elbo Room.
Police say on Friday May 1 at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the Elbo Room, located at 170 Delaware Avenue, for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had fired a handgun towards a crowd of people and left the scene in a vehicle.
Shortly after the call, detectives saw the vehicle traveling on Eagle Street in the area of Warren Street and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, 34-year-old Nathaniel Graham of Albany, was placed into custody without incident. A loaded .38 caliber handgun was on Mr. Graham’s person when he was taken into custody.
Police say no one was injured during the incident.
Graham was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was arraigned in the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
