Schenectady police make arrest in connection to shooting near elementary school

SCHENENCTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say they have made an arrest in connection with the shots fired call near Elmer Elementary School that happened on Wednesday.

Police say the incident happened on Jackson and Eastern Avenue on April 29. Detectives have arrested and charged 20-year-old Takeam Robles, of Schenectady with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second, a felony, and one count of Reckless Endangerment in the first, a felony.

Police say Robles is being held in the city’s lockup and will be arraigned this morning.  This remains an open investigation and additional arrests and charges are possible.
