NEW YORK (NEWS10) – The New York Times is reporting that the New York Senate Majority Leader and his son are expected to be arrested on federal corruption charges next week.
Dean Skelos acknowledged in April that he and his son Adam were the focus of a federal investigation. The investigation is centered on whether Skelos influenced Nassau County to award a $12 million contract to a company that hired his son as a consultant.
The investigation comes about three months after Assemblyman Sheldon Silver stepped down as speaker because of his own arrest. He’s facing federal bribery and fraud charges.
