Police: Ballston Spa teens attempt to steal marijuana, run over 15-year-old

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say two teens have been arrested after they stole marijuana from a 15-year-old and hit him with a car.

Police say on Wednesday, March 4 at about 9:05 p.m., the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and West Glens Falls EMS were sent to a personal injury car vs. pedestrian accident on Corinth Road in Queensbury. When they arrived, police located a 15-year-old male who had sustained minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The male was treated at Glens Falls Hospital and released.

Further investigation revealed that the 15-year-old male had been involved in a transaction of marijuana with 18-year-old Jabob Maheux. Maheux was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by 18-year-old Hunter Ten Eyck. The teens are both from Ballston Spa.

Police say Maheux had arraigned a meeting with the 15-year-old male to purchase marijuana from him.

During the exchange, the 15-year-old reached into the vehicle to hand over the marijuana to Maheux., but Ten Eyck drove off with the 15-year-old running alongside. As the vehicle continued in motion, it struck the 15-year-old male causing minor injuries.

Both Maheux and Ten Eyck were charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Assault. They were arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and released to appear on a later date.
