NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Tuesday morning students and staff watched as Niskayuna High School’s principal shaved his head to raise money and support for childhood cancer.

Principal John Rickert was among the “shavees” on Tuesday’s St. Baldrick event at the school to show support for children undergoing cancer treatment.

Interim Superintendent John Yagielski is set to have his head shaved at Saturday’s St. Baldrick event at Proctor’s. Festivities run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with raffles, music, face painting, green hair extensions, and a performance by a Niskayuna High School magician. For more information click here.
