Man pleads guilty to manslaughter after Lansingburgh couple’s killing

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – One of the men accused in the killing of a Lansingburgh couple in 2014 pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office said 33-year-old Daniel Reuter admitted to beating Michael Allen and Maria Lockrow to death in the couple’s home.

The office said Reuter’s plea was part of a deal in exchange for testifying against his co-defendant Jacob Heimroth whose case is ongoing.

Reuter was originally charged with murder.
