BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Police say they have arrested a Schaghticoke man after he was caught on surveillance video intentionally causing property damage at Hoffman’s Car Wash in Brunswick.
Police say 29-year-old Evan Giroux was arrested and charged on Thursday for Criminal Mischief for the incident that occurred on April 11.
Police say they received a report of a damaged computer in the self service wash bay. Surveillance tapes showed a man intentionally spraying high pressure water into the coin slot of the control panel causing over $250.00 in damage.
An investigation into the man’s identity revealed it to be Giroux. He was contacted by police and turned himself in at the Brunswick barracks.
Giroux was issued an appearance ticket and released. He’s due back in court at a later date.
