Shenendehowa recognized as first CPR smart school

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Shenendehowa High School is being recognized as the first school district in the Capital Region to be a CPR Smart School.

On Wednesday Shen students demonstrated their proficiency with the lifesaving skill. Sudden cardiac arrest survivor Jeff Keene also shared his story of being saved by CPR.

To qualify for the American Heart Association’s CPR Smart program, school districts must implement a written policy whereby students learn CPR and AED use prior to graduation.
