Shen seniors sign letters of intent

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – Five Shenendehowa seniors celebrated their college commitments on Wednesday.

Student athletes will continue their careers at the next level from swimming to lacrosse, and the sports vary as much as location.

For example, Lundy Spinner will stay in the Capital Region as she joins the UAlbany track team while three-time Section II wrestling champion Jesse Porter is off to Northern Michigan.

“I think that it’s actually a good thing for me because I need something new,” senior wrestling athlete Jesse Porter. “A new environment so you can actually clear your head a little bit.”

“When I went on my official visit, I just felt really comfortable,” Spinner said. “And I don’t know if it was because of the distance, but when I went there they made me feel like they were a family.”
