Garbage truck knocks down power in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Officials from National Grid say a garbage truck ran into a power pole and took down a few lines in the city.

Officials say the pole was knocked down at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday due to a garbage truck accident on Hackett Street and Arthur Drive. Initially, 526 people lost power. Currently, 54 people are still without power, but National Grid says it should be restored in the next hour or two.

National Grid is on scene working to fix the power pole.
