TROY, N.Y. – One day after a fire tore through two apartment buildings in Troy, officials are still searching for a cause. One of the many displaced residents spoke to News10 on Saturday, as she was back at the scene, salvaging what personal items she and her family could.
“We’re just trying to salvage anything that we can” said Kathy Darmetko, adding, “There’s really not much that we can salvage… Some clothes… Electronics are destroyed.”
Thankfully, no one was killed, and police say no injuries were reported. Fire investigators were on scene Saturday, but no cause of the fire has been determined.
