COLONIE, N.Y. – State Police say they’ve arrested a father and son for possessing heroin and marijuana during a traffic stop.
Officials say just after 9 p.m. Thursday, State Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-787 in Colonie. During investigation, police found heroin and marijuana.
Authorities say 56-year-old Nelson Sanchez Baez of Cohoes was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and 28-year-old Nestor Baez was arrested for possession of marijuana. Due to Nestor having a stay away order against the driver, he was also charged with criminal contempt. The driver was released with no charges.
Both subjects were arraigned at the Town of Colonie Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail with bond.
