SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Emotions ran high as witnesses gave testimony during a trial for a man accused of impregnating a young girl.
It’s been described as an extremely disturbing case. Herman Robinson has been accused of years of sexual abuse, raping and fathering a child with a young girl and then killing that child.
Wednesday marked day three of the bench trial against Robinson. Witnesses were called to the stand, including an investigator and the victim’s mother. Robinson sat quietly through testimony, wrote notes and spoke with his defense team.
An investigator testified about the hundreds of e-mails, text messages and phone calls Robinson had with the victim.
The victim’s mother described her busy work schedule and how Robinson occasionally looked after her children. She described her daughter’s personality as a “moody teenager” and never suspected she was pregnant while attending school.
The victim is expected to testify on Thursday.
