COHOES N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police in Cohoes say they have arrested a man involved in an armed robbery at Durso’s Liquor Store that happened back in March.
Police say 18-year-old Michael Lewis of Congress Street in Cohoes is being charged with robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly entered Durso’s Liquor Store at 48 Columbia St. Police say he showed workers a knife and demanded money from the cash register. Lewis then stole cash and fled the scene.
Police say on April 3, patrol officers located Lewis, who matched the description of the person responsible for the robbery. Upon interviewing, Lewis made admissions to detectives implicating him in the robbery. He has been charged with the crime and was arraigned in Cohoes City Court. Lewis was remanded to Albany County Jail without bail.
