MALTA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Officials confirm that one person was killed after a three-car accident in Malta.
The accident occurred on Route 67 between State Farm Place and Eastline Road. Currently both lanes are closed as officers investigate.

Police say the deceased victim from this accident is 53-year-old Kimberly Edwards of Malta.
Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that while headed Westbound on Rt. 67, Edwards crossed the center line and struck a tractor trailer that was Eastbound being driven by William Secore of Troy. Edwards’s vehicle then travelled into the path of another vehicle and was struck. That vehicle was being operated by Randall Jordan of Saratoga Springs. Jordan was transported to Saratoga Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit.
