Galway man arrested for arson

SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10)— A Galway man has been arrested for intentionally causing a structure fire at his residence.

George Feltt MugSaratoga County Police say they have arrested 67-year-old George Feltt after an investigation into a structure fire at 6073 Dean Lung Rd. in Galway.

The Galway Fire Department responded to the fire in the lower level of Feltt’s home and a second fire in his garage. Officials say the fires resulted in extensive damage to the home and interior damage to the garage.

In conjunction with the Saratoga County Cause and Origin Team, two separate origins were discovered and the fires were deemed to be intentional. The investigation led police to arrest Feltt and charge him with Felony Arson and Reckless Endangerment.

Felt was arraigned in the Town of Providence Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail.
