ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Capital Region Jewish population will celebrate Passover Friday.
Many will gather around the dinner table for a traditional Seder.
The ceremony tells the biblical story of how the enslaved Jews were led out of Egypt and into Israel 5,000 years ago.
Many eat matzoh instead of bread to signify how when leaving Egypt, they didn’t have enough time for the dough to rise.
The holiday lasts 8 nights.
