ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The three casino projects in the Capital Region that weren’t chosen to move forward with their proposed project are getting some of the application money back.
Each proposed project had to pay $1 million just to have their proposal considered.
According to documents on the New York State Gaming Commission’s website, the follow was returned.
- Hard Rock Rensselaer was refunded $652,202.78
- Howe Caverns Resort and Casino received a partial refund of $600,000 in February, and another 92,016.85 in April
- The Capital View Casino and Resort in East Greenbush will receive a refund of $650,322.62
- And although it never moved forward, the Amsterdam Casino will see almost all of that fee refunded, $991,216.16
