Lenox Memorial Middle and High School closed after reports of threatening message

LENOX, Mass. (NEWS10) – Due to a threatening message on a high schools message system, LMMHS closed on Thursday.

The school administrative staff says they received a threatening message via the school voice mail system on April 2 at 9:15 a.m. In the interest of student safety, all students were brought to the Duffin Theater and then dismissed by buses and to parents. Lenox and State police responded and are assisting with the investigation.

LMMHS will be open tomorrow Friday April 3 from 8am-noon for parents and students to claim personal belongings. To claim items please check in at the main office.

All LMMHS sports practices held at the school are cancelled for Thursday April 2 and Friday April 3.
