Coeymans Police arrest high school student for writing bomb threat on wall

COEYMANS, N.Y. (NEWS10) – As a result of an ongoing investigation, the Town of Coeymans Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old Ravena Coeymans Selkirk High School student for a handful of crimes.

Police say the teen was arrested for making a terroristic threat and false report, fire or explosion, as well as the misdemeanor of obstructing governmental administration, making graffiti, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.

It is alleged that last month the juvenile wrote a bomb threat on a bathroom wall within the High School. The teen who’s name will not be released due to his age was processed and sent to the Capital District Juvenile Secured Detention Facility pending further Family Court appearances.
