LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Troopers in Latham say two teens have been arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at cars off of an overpass.
Police say on Sunday, a couple of motorists reported damage to their vehicles while traveling on I-787 in the town of Colonie. Troopers then located two 13-year-old males described by witnesses in the area where the damage occurred.
Officials say the youths were taken to the Latham barracks and their parents were contacted by State Police. Both were charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor reckless endangerment. No motorists were injured as a result of the rock throwing.
The teens were issued Albany County family court appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in court later this week.
