ALBANY, NY – Officials say two men have been indicted for attempted murder stemming from an incident after a concert at the Washington Avenue Armory.
Officials say 20-year-old Cornelius Williams and 19-year-old Houston Brown, both of Newburgh were indicted on one count of attempted murder, one count of attempted assault, and one count of assault.
The indictment alleges that on January 31, 2015, at about 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Chestnut Street and Lark Street in the City of Albany, Williams and Brown attempted to kill an adult male by repeatedly striking him with a dangerous instrument. The alleged attack resulted in serious physical injury to the victim that required emergency surgery.
Williams was arraigned in Albany County Court Monday morning. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in lieu of bail.
Brown was arraigned in Albany County Court on March 16. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in lieu of bail.
