Volunteers paint mural at Schenectady Boys & Girls Club

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Boys and Girls club of Schenectady and MVP Health Care kicked off National Boys and Girls Club Week by adding some color to the city.

A group from both organizations and the Schenectady Art Society are painting a “great futures” mural at the Mont Pleasant’s Boys and Girls clubhouse on Webster Avenue. The mural is meant to depict the endless possibilities that lie ahead for the children at the club.

The mural came from the ideas of the boys and girls at the Mont Pleasant club, was conceptualized by the Schenectady Art Society, and is now being filled in by the MVP Health Care volunteers.

The official unveiling will be Tuesday, March 31, during family night.
