MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10)— State Police arrested and charged a Middletown man with rape and endangering the welfare of a child on Friday.
Following an investigation into a report to the state’s Child Abuse Hotline in February, State Police have arrested 26-year-old Yakeim Hollis of Middletown.
During the investigation police say it was revealed that Hollis had sexual intercourse with a child under 17-years-old on more than one occasion in 2014. Officials say Hollis was familiar with the victim. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with Child Protective Services.
Hollis faces a felony charge of Rape in the Third Degree and the misdemeanor charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Hollis was arraigned in the City of Middletown Court and was remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail or $10.000.00 bond.
