UTICA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Calling hours are being held on Wednesday for a state trooper who died while training in Albany last week.
State police say 23-year old Donald Fredenburg had an undiagnosed heart condition. According to state police, Fredenburg was about a quarter-mile into a daily run at its academy when he collapsed and it was only his second week of training.
Fredenburg is a native of Utica. That’s where calling hours will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
His funeral will be held Thursday.
