COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10)— After a six-month long investigation, police say they have arrested a man for possessing and distributing heroin in Cohoes.
Cohoes Police say that after a joint investigation with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms they have arrested 27-year-old Joseph Thomas of Cohoes. During the six-month investigation 2,400 bags of heroin were seized along with around a quarter pound of marijuana.
Undercover operations and surveillance led officials to Thomas in NYC, where he was apprehended by US Marshals on an indictment warrant. Thomas was charged with two counts of criminal sale and one count possession of controlled substance.
Thomas was arraigned in Albany County Court and remanded to Albany County Correctional Facility pending further court action.
