TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Officials have closed 16th Street in Troy due to a gas leak.
The Troy Fire Department said 16th Street will remain closed through the night as crews work to fix a gas leak underground.
At first, the gas levels were high, but officials said they were back to normal.
Three homes were evacuated, but people in two of the homes were allowed to go back inside.
No one at the scene was injured, and National Grid was at the scene Monday night preparing to dig up the road to fix the leak.
