BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A Troy man was arrested for Aggravated DWI Saturday night.
New York State Police said Mark Masterson pulled into the Stewarts store on Route 7 in Brunswick Saturday night and parked next to a Trooper who was filling his marked patrol car with gas.
Police said Masterson got out of his truck and walked directly into the front of the police car. The Trooper questioned Masterson, who allegedly showed signs of intoxication.
“The first indicator that the Trooper had when the vehicle stopped and pulled up opposite to him – the door slammed into the pump and bumped into the pump itself,” Troop Mark Cepiel said. “The operator then got out, walked around the pump and stumbled over into the troop car; the marked troop car.”
The 50 year old failed sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He registered a blood alcohol content of .18 percent.
Masterson was issued tickets and released to a third party. He is due in the Town of Brunswick Court at a later date.
The police car was not damaged.
