SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A teen is being charged in Saratoga for allegedly stabbing his 10-year-old brother.
Cody Clements, 19 is sitting behind bars in the Saratoga County Correctional Facility after allegedly stabbing his 10-year-old brother Wednesday evening.
Saratoga County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call at 226 Haas Rd. in the town of Saratoga just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, they found the 10-year-old boy outside his home with a slash wound to his throat.
“Investigation began at that point. The 10-year-old was transported initially to Saratoga Hospital, and then transferred to Albany Med. We just got an update on him as we speak. He’s in stable condition,” said Saratoga County Sheriff, Michael Zurlo.
The sheriff says the boys’ father was also home at the time of the alleged attack. When asked what exactly happened, Zurlo cited the open investigation.
Just after midnight Thursday morning, deputies arrested Clements on first degree assault. He was arraigned in the town of Saratoga Court and remanded on $75,000 bond.
Sheriff Zurlo says him and his team are still interviewing some people and still conducting an investigation at the scene. They will confer with the district attorney’s office and go from that point.
